Statement: NDP Supports Public Sector Workers

NDP Labour Critic Alexandre Boulerice and NDP Tax Fairness Critic Niki Ashton made the following joint statement in reaction to CRA employees voting on whether to go on strike this tax season:

"Public sector workers have gone above and beyond to deliver for Canadians throughout the pandemic, but the Liberals are letting them down. Let's be clear, as Canadians are facing a cost of living crisis, they need to be able to count on the benefits they’re entitled to as tax season approaches and cannot afford any further delays. The Liberals must end their double talk with public service workers. They need to give their negotiators a clear mandate to find a negotiated settlement that truly respects those who work for us all.”
