More Summer Visiting

This week I have once again been visiting throughout the Churchill riding.

I have visited The Pas, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Wanless, Cormorant, Moose Lake, Easterville, Grand Rapids and Norway House. I also traveled to Sapotaweyak for the Swampy Cree Tribal Council Assembly.

Each First Nation and each community has its own local issues and concerns. There are also many issues that are common to all communities.

I often hear concerns that the Federal government is ignoring our region when it comes to everything from infrastructure to health care, education or housing. Many people raised the need to support our youth, from adequate childcare to recreation programs.

Throughout my visiting, I also have the opportunity to listen to people's individual concerns. I encourage people to contact my office directly at any time if they do have any problems or concerns.

As MP for Churchill my top priority is to keep in touch. That is why I will be continuing to visit throughout the riding on a regular basis in between elections.
